Gatemouth
Brown's live shows were always a musical roller coaster, seamlessly bouncing from
song to song and instrument to instrument with his irrepressible banter. From
the award-winning PBS "Austin City Limits" TV series, this performance,
recorded live on February 6, 1996 and mixed in 5.1 surround sound, includes songs
that were never aired on the original TV broadcast. It captures the essence of
Gatemouth's legendary sound.
This
performance shows Roy in his prime at the age of 37. Indeed it may well be the
best high-quality audio/video recording of his complete performance known to exist.
From the award-winning PBS "Austin City Limits" TV series, this performance,
recorded live on November 15, 1976, includes songs that were never aired on the
original TV broadcast. This treasure celebrates a brilliant guitarist at the peak
of his talents, and is a chance for a new generation to discover what they might
have missed.
Albert
was on fire the night of this taping in 1991. He was first and foremost an entertainer,
but nonetheless belongs up front in the pantheon of great blues guitarists. From
the award-winning PBS "Austin City Limits" TV series, this performance,
recorded live on October 28, 1991 in 5.1 surround sound, includes songs that were
never aired on the original TV broadcast. It delivers "The Ice Man"
at his best.
John
Jorgenson has led a storied career including stints with Elton John and The Hellecasters.
His Ultraspontane and Franco American Swing CDs have defined his gypsy soul Djangoish
guitar stylings well; but now you can see his stellar quintet in fine form. Directed
by Maurizio Ongaro, this 21 track double DVD set was recorded in 2005 at the Teatro
Olympico in Vincenza, Italy. An expanded 'Quintet' - Stephan Dudash, Andy MacKenzie,
John Wheatcroft, Charlie Chadwick, Cesare Valbusa - also includes Tania and Sandra

This
collection of rare live Clash performances was produced by Don Letts. The film
features an array of live performances from the band from the late 70s and early
80s. Bonus features include interviews with the band on NBC's "Live at Five"
and "The Tomorrow Show With Tom Snyder" from 1981. Starting in early
March, PBS will be broadcasting excerpts from the DVD. (Sony)
This
DVD is a sonic journey that captures the art of making a record by one of the
most distinctive producers of our time. Directed by Adam Volick, Adam Samuels
and Lanois, the film offers viewers a rare chance to see Lanois at work behind
a soundboard. The film opens up with a timeless piano performance by Garth Hudson,
one of Canada's finest pianists. Lanois then journeys from Toronto to Los Angeles
to Shreveport, LA where he joins Brian Blade's father at the Zion Baptist Church
for a roaring rendition of "This May Be The Last Time." The film also
journeys with Lanois to Morocco where he and mentor Brian Eno reminisce and record

The Flatt and Scruggs TV Show" volumes 5 and 6 will consist of live music
performances by Flatt & Scruggs with their group the Foggy Mountain Boys from
a never before available TV show filmed in their prime performing years in the
1950s and early 1960s. Flatt & Scruggs are two of the founding fathers of
bluegrass music and their names are legendary to any fan of bluegrass. 
The

conscious folk singers, This Machine Kills fascists combines rare documentary
footage of Guthrie's era with interviews from the artist's friends and family.
Weighing in are Pete Seeger, Guthrie's son Arlo and daughter Nora, his friend
Jimmy Longhi, and a panel of experts. The program outlines the concerns of the
times through Guthrie's music, tracing the origins and meanings of such songs
as "Pastures of Plenty," "Pretty Boy Floyd," and "This

Over
the years I have searched for films and videos of my teacher, Rev. Gary Davis.
His playing has influenced many fingerstyle guitarists. His words and warmth were
especially important to his handful of dedicated students. In this collection
I have put together all the footage that I have found to date. The recording quality
ranges from excellent to poor but the music is always superb. Hopefully you will
enjoy this collection as the genius of Rev. Gary Davis will fill your TV screen

Inmates DVD ever released! Two fantastic performances from '80, the heyday of
this excellent maximum R&B/garage group. Includes their US/UK Hot 100 hit
(a killer version of The Standells "Dirty Water"). This DVD features
excerpts of two performances (Dingwalls in London, Nelsons in Wimbledon) from
1980, the heyday of this wonderful group. These historical audio/visual recordings
have been restored from existing source tapes. The Inmates were formed in North
London in 1977 and soon established themselves as one of the capital's most popular
live groups. Their influences included The Animals, The Pretty Thing and The Rolling
Stones. They arrived at the tail end of the pub-rock movement, but still managed
to find success with their mix of originals and covers of classic R&B and
Rock & Roll tunes. Of the latter, a version of the Standells' "Dirty
Water," included on the band's 1979 debut First Offence, became a hit on
both sides of the Atlantic (reaching #51 on The Billboard Hot 100). Capitalizing
on chart success throughout Europe & North America, the early eighties saw
the band confirm their international status. They continue to tour successfully
throughout Europe. This DVD serves as an important document of the Inmates and
their contributions to Rock n Roll.
This
"revisited" gig at "Ohne Filter" took place in 1997 in Baden-Baden,
Germany. At this time (Ford's second TV guest performance on the show) his highly-acclaimed
album "Tiger Walk" was ready to go. Here he shared the stage with three
established musicians from Alanis Morissette's stable. The sound Ford creates
on his guitar with his nimble fingers reveals a deep understanding and appreciation
for the blues... He has also accompanied some blues legends, such as Charlie Musselwhite
and Jimmy Witherspoon. You can discern the ability of this sought-after musician
to transform himself. He once belonged to the founders of the fusion band Yellowjackets
and toured with stars like Joni Mitchell or George Harrison. During this particular
performance, the audience experienced a true virtuoso, who continuously reinvents
himself.

This film, directed and restored by renowned British film director Tony Palmer,
captures the band at the Maidstone Fiesta during the summer of 1970 as they run
through their set of the time which included various jigs and reels and the songs
"Sir Patrick Spens" and "Now Be Thankful". This line up was,
and still is, considered one of the key line ups of Fairport Convention: Richard
Thompson (Vocals, Guitar), Dave Swarbrick (Vocals,Fiddle, Mandolin), Dave Pegg
(Vocals, Bass Guitar, Mandolin), Dave Mattacks (Drums, Percussion), and Simon
Nicol (Vocals,Guitar,Electric Dulcimer). Apart from the footage contained on this
DVD, the Full House line up were never filmed commercially until reunions at the
bands regular Cropredy Festival years later. This film also features two songs
from Matthews Southern Comfort, the band led by former Fairport Convention member
Ian Matthews. Matthews Southern Comfort would also go on to have a massive hit
single with a cover of the Joni Mitchell song Woodstock in late 1970. The DVD
also includes bonus footage of an exclusive interview filmed in spring 2007 with
director Tony Palmer where he explains how he first met Fairport Convention and
his thoughts on the band and the film over thirty five years later. This interview

day in January 2007 to create a portrait of one of the world's most thriving music
scenes. Each band plays one song each in a jam-packed 55 minutes. The tension
rises throughout the day as we watch the sun set on a fabulous day and on a beautiful,
unwanted house. Artists include Spook the horse, Harvey Danger, Tiny Vipers, Blue
Scholards, Dave Bazen, Benjamin Gibbard, Eddie Vedder, Minus the Bear, The Cave
Singers, The Long Winters, Kinski, The Can't See, Triumph of Lethargy Skinned

During June/July of 1978 the group founded by Jerry Dammers and originally known
as The Automatics was given the support slot on the Clash's "On Parole"
tour. Jerry was focused on creating his own label and so, 2-Tone was born. 2-
Tone and The Specials, created an entire genre of ska music. They experimented
with psychedelic ska and added female back-up singers, including Chrissie Hynde,
Rhoda Dakar, Belinda Carlisle, Charlotte Caffrey and Jane Wiedlin. This compilation
of video clips is held together with insights and overviews as provided by program
director Brian Zabawski, and Crawdaddy, and an acknowledged authority of the punk
movement. All songs are complete and unedited.

Helldorado in Vitoria, plus bonus material. A furious and memorable concert of
these American rock masters, shot in Basque Country, Spain, with extras including

On a late spring evening in 2007, Chris Smither performed two concerts for an
intimate audience in Lyme, Connecticut. Footage from these shows plus excerpts
from a rare concert Chris performed with a full band at The Somerville Theatre
in Boston in 2006 are brought together in this first-ever concert video from Smither.
The DVD captures Chris performing in his usual solo style, with feet mic'd for
percussion, from the Lyme concerts, and backed up marvelously by multi-instrumentalist
David Goodrich, drummer Mike Piehl, mandolinist Sean Staples, vocalist Anita Suhanin,
and bassist Lou Ulrich in Somerville. The concert footage is enhanced with a never-before
released personal interview, providing the viewer with additional insight into
Chris' performance techniques and influences. Honing a synthesis of folk and blues
for more than 40 years, Chris Smither is truly an American original. His music
draws deeply from blues and American folk music, modern poets and humanist philosophers.
A profound songwriter, a blistering guitarist and, as he puts it, a "one-man
band to the bone," Chris melds the styles of his two major influences, Lightnin'
Hopkins and Mississippi John Hurt, into his own signature guitar sound. (Signature
