CRAIG
"CUZ"
01.
ROSES PAWN SHOP - The
Arsonist (self released) Groovy, jingly banjo pop. 02.THE
CHEATIN' KIND - Turned
On Too Long (self released) Country punk, and I like Babs. 03.
WEED PATCH - Some
Kind Of Happy (self released) To me, this is an album that truly defines
the "Alt. Country-roots-pop" sound. 04. VARIOUS ARTISTS
- Sail
Away - The Songs Of Randy Newman (Sugar Hill) Sometimes, it takes
the performances of others to realize how truly brilliant a songwriter is. 05.
MATTHEW SWEET AND SUSANNA HOFFS - Under
the Covers Vol. 1 (Shout Factory) I was never a huge fan of either
of these kids but I like what they do here. (Also, I think it drives, Boomer and
DJ Jeff crazy.) 06.
BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN - We
Shall Overcome - The Seeger Sessions (Columbia) I love the arrangements
that they pull out of these standards, very cool. 07.
GRANDADDY - Just
Like The Fambly Cat (V2) These dudes are weird, I dig it.
08.
STAIRWELL SISTERS - Feet
All Over The Floor (Yodel-Ay-Hee 061) This will be on my top ten
of the year, without a doubt. |
